The pointed threaded rod VA AST is a galvanized steel or stainless steel product that is ETA approved for use with the bonded anchor VA for non-cracked concrete installations. It comes with a nut, washer and setting tool to aid in quick and easy installation. The installation process involves pushing the VA bonded anchor into a drilled hole, clamping the setting tool and rod in the drill, and rotating it with impact. The glass tube VA mixes with resin, hardener and aggregates, creating a joint between steel, reaction mortar and base material concrete for installing heavy loads with small edge distances.
